Disable Driver Signature Verification In Windows 8, 8.1 & 10 for Installing Drivers

Windows 7 was Microsoft’s best ever Operating System of all time. It was released on October 22, 2009, and gained huge worship from its fans,  who considered the operating system to be a major improvement over its predecessor due to its increased performance, its more intuitive interface (with particular praise devoted to the new taskbar), fewer User Account Control popups, and other improvements made across the platform.

With windows, 8 Microsoft introduced major changes to the operating system’s platform and user interface to improve its user experience on tablets, where Windows was now competing with mobile operating systems, including Android and iOS.

Signature Verification

Signature verification feature in 64-bit versions of Microsoft’s Windows 8 and 8.1 is one of the major mess to its users. When you have to install some drivers, the program compatibility assistant just keeps telling you that you cannot install this driver on this computer or it blocks the installation of the driver and required you to check the digital signature on the developer’s end.

Basically, Signature Verification contains an Electronic-Fingerprint that determines whether the driver is developed by the same manufacturer as that of the device’s and also whether the driver has been modified or not (it’s digitally signed or not). The only purpose of Driver Signature Verification is to improve the security of the hardware of the device so that invalid or malfunctioned driver does not cause any harm.

Driver Signature Verification should be disabled if you want to install any Android phone drivers or Android ADB & Fastboot drivers that required to root your phones or to install any firmware or custom ROM’s to our phones.

Your PC will now boot with driver signature enforcement disabled and you’ll be able to install any signed or unsigned drivers. However, the next time you restart your computer, driver signature enforcement will be disabled—unless you go through this menu again. You’re now free to install drivers that haven’t been officially signed by Microsoft.
